100 WORDS print JIM LEE/NEIL GAIMAN
Jakprints Here is an amazing art print/poster that we printed which showcases the talent of three powerhouses in the world of comic books and graphic novels. The print entitled “100 Words”, features the poem by the same name, written by author Neil Gaiman. The drawings are courtesy of acclaimed comic illustrator Jim Lee, and is accompanied by custom hand-lettering by Todd Klein.

The image had to be simple and iconic - the modern equivalent of Batman holding up the ringmaster’s hoop on the cover of DETECTIVE COMICS #38 which introduced Robin as “The sensational character find of 1940!” - and, as this original sketch shows, the cover idea didn’t change much from conception to publication.

The all-ten-volumes-in-one-slipcase-edition of SANDMAN comes out in November! I’m thrilled. You have no idea how long I’ve been asking DC to do one of these. (Er, about 16 years.)
(Edit to add: lots of questions coming in. I believe it’ll be about $199, so the books are cover price but the slipcase is free. Probably cheaper if you buy it at places that discount books. These are the recoloured editions that use the Absolute edition recolouring of the first few books. And last time DC did something like this they also sold the slipcase separately.)
